I have just finished the 7th installment in the Flavia de Luce series. Another keeper. Flavia is such an endearing character, whose words uttered by the amazing Jane Entwistle are simply delicious. It makes for a cozy, all engrossing, reading/listening, experience.
In this novel, Flavia ventures off to Miss Bodycote's Female Academy in Canada. Where soon after her arrival she is confronted with a body that drops out of the chimney in the room she will be occupying. She is left to puzzle out the who and the why of it all in the environment of her new boarding school. Far away from the comforts of Buckshaw and Uncle Tarquin's lab, and with no Inspector Hewitt to engage in mental acrobatics with. We make the acquaintance of a whole new cast of characters as she tries to adjust to being banished from Bishop's Lacey for the sake of her ongoing "training".
Highly recommended. Especially in the fall, in front of a fire, under a blanket, with a cup of tea and a tin of Custard Cremes.
Oh Flavia! She is such a wonderful character. And to hear Jayne Entwistle bring her to life. This series is so good!

Amy, it's always good to hear from a fellow Flavia fan!
