My refueling day last week started with sunrise, followed by a walk in a park.
A park that had interesting patterns on the leaves of the "banana plants". That might not be their real name, but that's what we called them when we were in Panama.
There were also big trees and roses in the park. Oh it was a glorious day. Eighty degrees with cloudy skies and a nice breeze so we didn't get overheated.
Because after the walk we went looking for fall inspiration and found it at The French Market in the Prairie Village Shops.
All refueling days are best when you have someone to share them with. Especially if you are planning to get a "classic" dessert crepe with chocolate, bananas, and macerated strawberries. Swoon.
AND it's even better if your refueling partner is someone like Joan, who is open to a good swinging session when swings are encountered in a park. No arm twisting required. She wanted to know if I remembered jumping out of swings as a kid. Not me. No, no, and no. I was not a daredevil as a child, like Joan and that wild Thompson bunch from North Dakota. Mama Thompson raised them all to be fearless.
The swinging was pure fun by the way. If a teeny bit vertigo inducing.
Last stop of the day was for my first mum of the season. To replace the fern that died after being dug into by a squirrel on a walnut hiding frenzy. Grrrrrrrrr.
Love your treks and photographic evidence.
