I just finished this book, which has been on my nightstand for a few weeks. Gravity is the Thing by Jaclyn Moriarty. Exactly why I added it to my list I can not recall, but it was the right thing to do. I LOVED this story. It's real, warm, fanciful, and illustrates how it is not bad to want to believe in things we wish to be true.
AND - the ending is completely marvelous. That is all I will say about it. Endings are tricky, in my opinion. They shouldn't be predictable, contrived, or outlandish. Nor should they just stop. Leaving you in suspense. This one follows no rules and is perfect.
Tonight, I will re-read chapter 17 again, simply for the sheer and absolute pleasure of it. Including this bit... "the right sort of people will let you hold on to false hope and impossible dreams ... until the time is right to gently take them from you. They will dispel your fears and help you see or carry truth".
Highly Recommended. Add it to your list.
Sounds like a future read, thanks Carol.
