Over the years I have become a bigger and bigger fan of Columbine. It's one of the faithful returnee's to the garden. I am especially fond of these colors in the blue-ish/purple range. They do quite well in the shade with just a touch of sun in the early morning.
I know those directly above are not Columbine. I think they are Brunnera Jack Frost. The flowers are blue though, and I have developed a fondness for groupings of flowers that are similar in color. It seems restful to me.
Except when it comes to Zinnia's. Zinnias should be all colors of the rainbow, all together, the more the merrier.
Clearly, contradiction is my middle name.
