all in the name of keeping things balanced

Roses from my garden in a vase from a shop in Ft. Bragg, pandemic mail art deliveries, visiting cats, sunrise walks, clever signs, peony buds opening on the window sill, and an illustration cut out of last Sundays NYT's are among the things that have delighted me this week. 

We are headed into summer here. Hot humid days means rising early to tend to anything that must be done out of doors. Cool showers in the afternoon, reading under the soft whir of a ceiling fan, all in the name of keeping things balanced.

I love the bird on top of your plant stake. It adds a does of color and whimsy. I also really like the notice from "Decades's" business... a very thoughtful way to express the unusual state we're in.
