I splurged and bought a couple of bouquets at the farmers market Saturday. The first one features peonies and allium along with scented geranium foliage.
The color of the peonies reminds me of a delicate pink buttercream frosting. I love how they look in all the different patterns of light throughout the day.
Bouquet number 2 is peony buds that have been cut and refrigerated. I cut an inch or so off the bottom and popped them in a vase and they open pretty quickly.
I do love that peony season can be extended a bit thanks to refrigeration, Karen Pendleton, and the Lawrence Farmers market.
The color of the pink ones are so vibrant with the white for contrast... quite delightful. I'm glad your farmer's market is open again. TFS!

Oh the song my heart is singing at the sight of these beauties.
Allium and “buttercream” peonies, my eyes are watering, okay, I’m crying at the
beauty of these pictures.
