It may seem unlikely that one could leave their camera at home on a Saturday morning trip to the farmers market. And yet...
...that is the situation I found myself in on Saturday. Which forced me to use my iPhone because there was no way I was passing up getting a photo of Shirley Temple below. I wanted to just go get her exact breakfast and sit down next to her on the curb and have a long and rambling conversation, then invite her over to color with me, but of course I could not do that.
Using the iPhone feels much different than the Nikon at the market. Somehow I feel that camera helps explain what I am doing, although I realize that makes no sense. Like maybe people know the Nikon means I am using these photos for something important.
Because of course showing you the sunflowers, quail eggs, and brothers and sisters in attendance at the market is extremely important. To me.
The collard greens and beets were turned into lunches by noon on Saturday. Because as important as taking photos, is finding new and interesting ways to use what I buy each week at the market.
Beautiful goodies again this week. But the color of that sunflower! Wow!!
