If you go to the temple of the deep woods, where the paths are well marked, the shade is deep, and the wild roses are blooming, may offer a bit of advise?
If yours is the first car in the parking lot, meaning you are first on the trail, don't be like me and wait until 1/2 way through the hike to pick up a big stick to wave in front of you to break up all the cobwebs.

There is a mailbox in our neighborhood. The round-top blue kind.
It sits on a concrete pad, and for the last month or so there has been a hooked stick on that pad, which is just right for pulling open the handle to open the mailbox for a deposit.
I believe wood is a less hospitable surface for the virus than metal........
