I love discovering a new (for me) interesting area in Lawrence. Most recently it was the Pinckney Historic district. Right up from Burcham park and the river trail. It makes for the perfect ending to a nice walk.
So many interesting houses to look at, with gardens.
And porches that looked "lived on".
It has historically been a neighborhood of "working class" people, across the street from the "mansions" of old west Lawrence. That's what I read anyway.
I got a really nice vibe as I walked the streets.
One of those "this would be a great neighborhood to live in", kind of feelings, which evolved into an imaginary journey about which house would be mine. If I moved in. It would be within close proximity to downtown and my new job as a shopgirl/barista/librarian/fortune teller. I could walk to work.
When the endorphins are up in the stratosphere, after a great walk that concludes with a home/garden tour, it's pretty much nirvana. But that could just be me.
