We are coming to the end of farmers market season, but officially they will continue through November. This fellow had a lovely case of treats for sale. The oatmeal cream pie cookies looked especially good, but I forced myself to walk by as he took orders from a line of customers ahead of me.
The kale continues to be amazing and is getting made into salads for lunch next week.
I was delighted to see mum bouquets for sale at the Cook's Market booth. You don't often see them for sale as cut flowers.
These pumpkin arrangements were lovely.
I almost got the green one below...
...but instead had to go with the white pumpkin with red chili peppers, bittersweet, straw flowers, and juniper berries. I got one last year at the Pendleton's. It lasted a good long time.
I was hoping to find some apple or pumpkin butter, but struck out. However... the apple "jam" caught my eye and I got a jar of that to go on top of oatmeal or cream of wheat or some other hot cereal this winter.
Two bundles of the mums were brought home and combined. One for the dining room table, and one for upstairs by the computer.
I am changing the water in my arrangements more often these days. Attempting to keep them fresh as long as possible. I could sit and look at them forever, seeing something new as the light changes.
Extremely good therapy by the way. For any little (or big) thing that ails you.
I enjoyed the therapy from So Cal. Thanks.
