The fall color this year has been stupendous. Red, yellow, orange. Bright leaves on branches, underfoot, against the sky, in front of houses, on a bench.
Morning, mid-day, sunny, cloudy, at all times and in all conditions, they make me smile.
Nature, while unpredictable, can always be relied upon to lift my spirits. No matter the source of worry or trouble.
They have been collected, pressed, pasted into my journal.
When reflecting back, in years to come, I want to remember that the beauty of the leaves balanced out some of the ugliness of these contentious times. For me anyway.
