I had to go check when exactly Hawaii became a state. I turned one just after it became a state. I remember in school learning about the states in 5th grade. It wasn't until sophomore year that we had to know all the capitols and the map of where all the states were located... which looking back seems kind of something we should have done earlier on in school. We did move a lot... I attended 10 different schools so maybe somewhere along the lines other places taught it earlier. But, yes, the flowers are beautiful.
