Here are a couple of "kid books" I got from the library recently.
I do love a good bedtime picture book. This one, If You Come to Earth, by Sophie Blackall, is a delight for the eyes and the imagination.
Little bits of good stuff hidden here and there on every page. Please get it from your library just so you can see the names of the paint colors. A perfect book to read to a curious child... about love and inclusiveness. The illustrations are gorgeous.
There Must be More Than That, by Shinsuke Yoshitake is perfect for any kid worried about the state of the world and what the future may hold. Simple, lovely, optimistic, funny, true.
Completely different drawing style. Equally delightful.
If you have a kid you can snuggle up with to read these to, great. If not, read them to the kid in yourself.
The illustrations in kids books is why I like to read them. Some of the most brilliant drawings I've seen. I study them ans also the color choices. Anything on that order appeals to me. There are also some great messages in these books that a lot of adults could benefit from.... Thanks for talking about this.

Carol if you have not already check out The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. This lovely book is written and illustrated by Charlie Mackesy. An absolute delight to read and enjoy at all times....but especially in these times:) For babes and adults alike.
