I loved this book. To the point where I kept it to read again in a few years, which is right about now. I dont remember the ending, exactly, but it was a book that stuck with me long after I finished it, and thus became a keeper. Much like Jane Smiley's A Thousand Acres and Charles Frasier's Cold Mountain and Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams.

Reading it now and loving it so far, but then I've loved everything I've read by Ann Patchett.

I recently read it and was disappointed in the ending. It seemed abrupt and I closed the book unsatisfied. I love her writing and bought this book because I had enjoyed the Dutch House.

Epic fail on ending insight!😂xox
