raising my glass to hope and health

While on my virtual art retreat this week, there were also lovely moments of just sitting, doing simple things.

The satisfaction of hemming a top by hand, of recalling how to do a binding, of using up napkin scraps.

The honking of migrating geese overhead, Harvey coming to visit.

Making muesli in the kitchen, morning sun hitting the clouds just so.

And on the very last day of my week off, being able to watch the inauguration. I have saved one last bottle of champagne for this very occasion, raising my glass to hope and health.
