These eggs are not for Eastering. They are just for peeling and eating. Ready whenever I get a hankering for an egg, or need one to throw in some tuna salad. But do not, for one minute, think that just because they are not for decorating does not mean they are not pretty. As is. Completely unadorned. I love the way the light reflects off their smooth, shiny, wet, surfaces.
Chris photographed this cardinal recently out back. Notice how he captured the underneath side of the tail feathers. Purple/blue with a pleasing pattern formed by the layers.
It's daffodil time and I could not leave the grocery store without a bunch. Or two.
The red sunset maple has started its transformation from buds to leaves. It's an annual, multi-step, routine, process.
A green oxalis jumped into my basket this week. You have to get them while you can around these parts. I love a purple one for the front porch but wanted a green one this year too. Because why not.
And that wraps up this edition of the not so ordinary, ordinary review. Brought to you by regular me, in celebration of consistent, reliable, average things that make life better.
So, I saved the egg photo to my Pinterest... hope it's OK. I liked it because it's one simple, glorious moment saved in time.

The cardinal photo is impressive: I would never think to consider the underside! Way to go, Chris ;-)
