The life in my garden is changing by the hour, the Japanese maple cloaks me in pink light from my position on the porch. The forget-me-nots and grape hyacinths are blooming, hostas and false baptisia are pushing through the ground. The hydrangea leaves are unfurling from their hiding spots in the branches.
The branches on the redbud I was worried about are putting out leaves. Those light green/gold colors are just perfect. The coral bells with the multi-colored veins in their foliage are doing their thing.
Miraculous. Every single bit of it.
spring is such an exciting time in the garden--every day new discoveries!

You are ahead of us, in Minnesota, by about a month. The plants were doing great, until this last cold snap. I am anxiously waiting for the summer warmth!
