Sunrise, a great blue heron with legs stretched behind takes flight, three deer crossing the path pause to watch me as I pass, a chorus of red winged blackbirds, the golden sun on the grasses, the unexpected color of a blooming redbud, a marshy area full of chirping frogs, spotting the first wild phlox in the woods.
These are all the sites and sounds I encountered at the Baker Wetlands on Sunday morning. They were all holy.
Spectacular, Carol. Thanks for taking us along.
