The Yucca plants around the Keepers of the Universe statue down by the river in Burcham park are blooming. They look especially nice in the early morning light.
Everything looks good in early morning light.
Even the cottonwoods that are on their way to falling into the river.
I love this old stump of a tree that met a similar fate at some point in the distant past?
Waters rise and fall, trees too. I don't know if there are seeds in all this cotton coming down, that restart the process of birth of a tree, but if you have allergies, bring Kleenex in your pockets. It's thick right now.
Other highlights on this walk included reflections in the water and the scent of wild honeysuckle vine.
As I came back to my car through the neighborhood I noted some great yard art.
I especially loved the place of honor this trusty bike had earned after years of good service. If you look closely you can see the current bike hanging up inside the screened in porch. I think they talk to each other when no one is around. The new bike telling tales of todays' rides while the old one shares the epic adventures from the past.
Love the way your mind works regarding the bikes talking to each other😐. The yucca blooms caught in the morning light are truly prize worthy.
Your posting today really spoke to me, thank you Carol

Barbara: I love how when I head out on a walk I never know what I am going to find... there is always something out there. A little nugget that speaks to me, thanks for reading!
