Here is my favorite photo from the farmers market yesterday. This is the tie-dye spirit personified. Complete with smiles, laughs, and a peace sign. I could just stop right here and you would know it was a great morning.
But since I took a few more photos let me ramble on for a minute.
The golden beets were bursting with color and this helpful fellow was telling a shopper what she could do with kohlrabi. Let me re-phrase that and say he was providing excellent suggestions for incorporating it into her menus for the week.
My flower decision was a toss up between more peonies and the Japanese iris bunches.
Doesn't looking at this just make you want a glass of fresh lemonade? Or a cup of strawberry/mint water? Or a fresh brewed cup of Joe?
She made her scarf over the winter and it goes perfectly with that dress, mask, and basket. I have taken her photo before. I seek to emulate her spirit.
Liquid gold, illuminated by the sun, was available in a variety of shapes and sizes from this vendor.
My zinnias haven't reached the cutting stage yet but seeing these makes me look forward to the day.
This woman is a walking advertisement for the health benefits of local herbs and she also gets the "looks great in her hat" award for the week.
Had to get the peonies. But you knew that. I also have to say that the snap peas this year are the best I have ever eaten. Rinsed and eaten raw just as is. Nothing better. You can add hummus if you want, and a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc if you feel fancy.
I second your flower choice! And the snap peas sound delicious.
