If you are looking for something to read (in one sitting) in your rocker out on the porch, or under a straw umbrella at the seashore, or in your camp chair in a circle of tall trees, I present Turbulence by David Szalay. I finished it over the course of a few very enjoyable hours.
It's an unconventional format, with one character from each chapter getting on a flight, landing in a different city, and catching up with someone else who will then be the next character to board a plane. And so forth and so on. There is a thin line that is unbroken as the story progresses in an unpredictable way.
I enjoyed it very much. Recommended.
