Just a few last photos from Albuquerque... then there will be no more until my next trip. Which I have already decided will be in early spring. When we can go to some hot springs and soak while we look at red rocks, maybe take a hike... and whatever else we fancy.
It's hard to pick a favorite coffee spot in Albuquerque, but if push comes to shove, it's going to have to be Little Bear. The baristas are so nice, the seating wonderful, the bags of beans from local roasters all over the world on the walls. It's got a most excellent vibe.
The colors of New Mexico are so appealing... and always that blue sky.
I think I told you we ate well during my visit. I did not tell you that Dottie is a great cook. One morning we had roasted sweet potatoes, sliced banana, blueberries, greek yogurt, pineapple chunks, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and toasted hazelnuts for breakfast. We named it the Alba Quirky bowl.
What a great combination of flavors. The pineapple was unexpectedly perfect as the sweetener. Just the right breakfast before a hike or a plane ride home. Don't knock it till you try it.
From the window of the plane as we made our approach into Kansas City. Who can resist trying to get the perfect shot out of a plane window? Not me. I'll let you know when I get it, in the meantime, it's important to record the progress.
