March arrived today with no sign of lions in tow. Maybe this is the year she comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion? A consultation with the Farmers Almanac may be in order. I am all about it, whatever the folklore or science says. An early morning walk was taken for the first time in what feels like months. It was Glorious with a capital G.
No other humans in site, the wetlands were mine alone. My favorite way to enjoy them.
Starting the day on a walk with myself, getting my tangled thoughts and dreams in order before moving on to the next order of business, always seems to make the day go better.
It's harder to stay in your head when the geese are flying overhead, the hawks are watching, and the red-winged blackbirds are calling to each other.
Oh, you do have a beautiful way with words! Beginning with "Starting the day . . ." this quote, along with many previous ones, have been copied in my journal. Thank you.
All of my life, whenever I thought of Kansas, I remember, at about age 9 or 10 crossing the state through the corn fields in our "57 Chevy (yellow & black with those fins) and camper with golf ball size hail raining down. Now, when Kansas comes to mind, I think of your photos & words.
