I lift my jigger of Bailey's Irish cream to all tonight in a St. Patrick's day salute.
Here in Kansas March Madness is in high gear. All my friends are glued to the games. Maybe I will try to stay up and catch the Jayhawks at 9pm. But it's not likely. Tonight marks the beginning of a long weekend, I just googled how to ripen banana extra fast for banana bread baking in the morning, and my friend Marilyn showed me a pattern for a DOT quilt today that has me all kinds of excited. You can see where my priorities lie.
It's supposed to start raining any minute now, and will continue overnight and all day tomorrow. Normally, at this time of year, I might be disappointed. But for some reason I am not. It's either because A) I know we need the rain and I am committed to the greater good, B) the whole slate of activities I have planned for the next 24 hours will keep me well occupied indoors, or C) I am learning to live in the moment.
If you want to see the DOT DOT DOT quilt click here. But do so at your own risk.
