Neighborhood walks in the city of angels are not to be missed. The air Friday morning was heavy with fragrance. Jasmine mixed with rose, lavender, citrus, and maybe it’s my imagination but did a bit of Victorian box stick around just for me? I thinks so. All this is especially nice since it was 33 degrees and raining when I left the house Friday morning in Kansas.
While sister toiled away at school, Wyatt and I spent time together. Then, after my walk, I got into her refrigerator and found a perfect lunch to eat out on the front porch. Me and the birds. Sheer heaven. Hopefully she wasn’t thinking that was going to be part of our dinner tonight.
Happily none of my imagined travel catastrophes came to past… things like the car breaking down on the way to the airport, not being able to find a place to park in the underground garage, terrible seatmate, not finding my reserved shuttle at LAX. I never worry about the actual flight, just all the details around it. I usually schedule Dottie to send all her good “ju-ju” my way on travel days and it always works. She does it for me for free, but I think she could start a business. I can see it now… “ex-nun, hospice chaplain, patron saint of nervous travelers”…. I am going to call her about this! It’s such a good service it would be a shame not to share it. On a limited basis of course, and only when I don’t need her myself.
I could see this being very lucrative for Dottie. I HATE flying and I know for sure I'd contact her before any trips!!! I biggest nightmare is a cancelled flight, especially it's not a direct flight.
