The back deck with the flower pots, and the zinnia beds, have been getting lots of winged visitors - butterflies and hummingbirds abound. Here are the ones I caught today. No hummingbirds here, and none of those yellow "sulphur" butterflies, but there was a very active swallowtail and maybe a monarch and a few that look like a monarch but are smaller. They are so lovely.
A pure delight to watch them flutter about. Just another example of the wonders of the natural world.
P.S. The swallowtail was not one bit bothered by my presence. It came very close, almost landing on me several times.
Ahhh, nature!!
