You may have noticed the jacket Ann was wearing in some of the photos from our quilting retreat.
It's just a little something she whipped up in her spare time.
The pattern is the Tamarack Jacket and she added the hood and a pocket.
She made it from a couple of old twin bed quilts she acquired sometime in the past. I think the way she was able to position the pattern pieces to take advantage of that wonderful zig-zag edging on the quilts is just fantastic.
I told her that she had reached the pinnacle of excellence with this piece of sewing. It is just fantastic. I think it's wonderful to be able to conceive of an idea like this, have the combination of pattern and fabric work seamlessly, AND have it fit PERFECTLY.
Bravo Ann!
Wow, great job, Ann!

So impressed and inspired, quit jacket is amazing.
So is the pic of the glorious iris against the barn.
The lilacs, another stunning series.
Thank you Carole for bringing me out of the very wet, chilly spring we are
having in the Pacific Northwest.
